The project comes to life on the occasion of Pitti Immagine - Bimbo, one of the world’s most important events dedicated to children’s fashion.

Part of the renowned Pitti Immagine, an organization that has been promoting fashion and design on an international level since 1972 through industry-leading events, Pitti Bimbo is a fair that celebrates the latest trends in clothing and style for children. For this edition, the exhibition space has been envisioned in the enchanting setting of the Verone of the Spedale degli Innocenti in Florence.

Designed by Filippo Brunelleschi in 1419, the Verone is a place rich in history and charm: originally used as the laundry of the orphanage, it now serves as a perfect meeting point between Renaissance culture and modernity. The project’s main inspiration comes from the iconic animated film UP, beloved by children and adults alike. This cinematic masterpiece delicately addresses profound and universal themes: love for nature, the process of mourning, the importance of intergenerational relationships, the joy of exploring the world, and the idea that it is never too late to achieve your dreams. These values, intrinsically tied to the sensitivity of childhood, guided every design choice.

The exhibition space is designed as an immersive environment, capable of capturing the attention of young visitors and stimulating their imagination. The spaces are characterized by vibrant and warm colors, tactile surfaces, and playful furnishings inspired by colorful balloons, natural elements, and the sense of adventure that defines the film. Interactive installations, play areas, and creative corners have been designed to offer children unique, educational, and entertaining experiences.

The history and architecture of Brunelleschi’s Verone, with its Renaissance details, harmoniously interact with the contemporary design of the project, creating a balance between tradition and innovation.

The materials used - eco-sustainable and natural – reflect a love for the environment and the intention to educate new generations on the importance of respecting our planet.
