Nestled among the gentle hills of Montecatini Terme, the Althea project was born from the vision of transforming an abandoned nightclub into a place where culture, art, and nature come together to create a unique experience.

Althea is not just an architectural redevelopment but a new beginning: a space that welcomes, inspires, and offers moments of relaxation and creativity. On the lower floor, Althea emerges as an art gallery dedicated to exhibitions by both emerging and established artists, with the goal of enhancing the region and promoting local culture. Adjacent to the gallery, there are artistic workshops, a space designed to allow people to rediscover their creativity by learning to paint or craft ceramics. This choice was made to offer a creative refuge, a place for self-expression and connection with others, surrounded by the tranquility of nature – a precious experience, especially after the challenging times of the pandemic.

On the upper floor, the project features a refined restaurant with an outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy dishes inspired by Tuscan tradition, reimagined with a contemporary twist. Outside, a lounge bar unfolds among reflective water features and lush greenery, creating an intimate and relaxing atmosphere, perfect for any time of the day.

The materials chosen – walnut wood, natural stone, marble – and the warm, welcoming colors, such as cream and green, form the heart of Althea’s design. These natural elements harmoniously interact with the surrounding landscape, creating a perfect balance between nature and architecture.
